“This artistic collaboration is a direct action to stop the inhumane treatment of all immigrants in detention. This action is a call to all humanity to rise up and open our eyes to the path that has been lit for us by our ancestors. The LA LUCHA LIVES statement holds within it the many movements and lives that have fought for justice. This fight for justice never ended, there was never a break, it continues today. The solidarity of creative power is no match for the oppressors and they know this. We will not back down. We are demanding the U.S. government immediately release all detained immigrants at once. We are asking the entire international community to help us denounce the current U.S. administration and its human rights violations. We are asking for the investigation of all corporations and individuals who are a part of this atrocity. La gente de esta pueblo have had enough. Too many lives have been taken and these crimes against humanity must stop. Ya basta!”
